President U Win Myint and First Lady Daw Cho Cho hosted a reception and dinner to commemorate the 73rd Anniversary Union Day in the square of Nay Pyi Taw City Hall yesterday.
First, the President and the First Lady were cordially greeted by Vice President U Myint Swe and wife Daw Khin Thet Htay, Union Minister Dr Pe Myint and wife, Union Minister U Ohn Maung, Union Minister Nai Thet Lwin and wife, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr Myo Aung and wife at the reception.
The President and the First Lady also greeted Union level dignitaries, Union Ministers, Tatmadaw officers, regions/states ethnic affairs ministers, Hluttaw representatives, leaders and representatives from EAOs that had signed the NCA, chairpersons and leaders of political parties, and ethnic cultural troupes from states and regions.
Afterwards, the President and the First Lady had dinner with the attendees. During the dinner, artists from Myanma Radio’s modern music troupe together with union ethnic nationals and singers provided entertainment.The reception and dinner was attended by Vice President U Myint Swe and wife Daw Khin Thet Htay, Vice President U Henry Van Thio and wife Dr Shwe Hluan, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat and wife Daw Yin May, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker Mahn Win Khaing Than and wife Daw Nant Kyin Kyi.
Also present at the event were Chief Justice of the Union U Htun Htun Oo, Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the Constitutional Tribunal U Myo Nyunt, Tatmadaw Deputy Commander-in-Chief and Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win and his wife Daw Than Than Nwe, and Amyotha Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Aye Tha Aung.

Following the dinner, the President and the First Lady together with attendees enjoyed the performance by artistes from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, and states/regions cultural dance troupes.
